Len. Hear are the dimentions for the intake manifold for our 403's

The stock iron 403 intake carb base surface is 2.75 inch's above the front block horizontal surface. My concern is that the Edelbrock 2711 alum intake is 3.2 inch's. But the Mondeo shop says that the 2711, and 3711 manifolds will work in a GMC.
