These are the original press release photos for the new 1977 Kingsley model. Press release photos were always in black and white back in the day.
Kingsley was available in 1977 and 78 only, although it is mentioned in GMC internal presentation Operation Conquest 1974 as one of the possible future models.
In 1977 Kingsley was a $270 extra cost option (along with Palm Beach).
In 1977 production was pretty evenly split between Eleganza II (562), Palm Beach (543), and Kingsley (540).

Palm Beach gets all the love these days, but I am partial to Kingsley ;)

I stumbled on your video I believe Jeremy, and as far as I can tell yours and mine are identical. Although mine is not pristine, so is getting a bit of a makeover gradually...

Mine has been very well taken care of by each of its owners, always stored inside when not in use. I love time capsule cars, so I feel very fortunate to have acquired my Kingsley. They used good durable materials in the GMCs but when they wear out a makeover becomes necessary.

I posted some driving videos and a visual interior tour on Youtube 1977 GMC Motorhome

Ah I can never afford that type of vehicle. So I get ones that show a littele love, then get them usable again with a bit of refurb. Our 59 Shasta was much the same way. We redid some, added some new conveniences and LED lighting and electronics etc but left the majority alone. The GMC, well we will be sticking with the orange for awhile, and just going with grey wood flooring to replace the grey carpet tiles. Wish it still had the orange carpet. Painting white walls and updating. Gradually adjust for the rest as time breaks things, add on USB ports and new guages etc. Lots of details to fix.

And yours has the 455! Mine is a 403.
