Talked to Jim this morning. He is quite busy battening down the hatches
and tying up coaches so they don't blow away. Now would be a good time
to get him to move somewhere. Bringing in Nates coach today to start on
the engine replacement. I think he said he had 11 coaches on his lot at
this time.
Said he has a real nice 23 footer he will sell. Sounds like a real sweet
deal for those of you without kids. Roger?
His timing got a little screwed up as he is having problems with, I
think it is Thom Holes coach.
He wanted me to soften you guys up a bit before he gets on here to
berate the Power Master brake system. I got the impression he really,
really doesn't like it. It seems there is no backup to any system. If a
relay goes...no brakes, If your engine quits.....no brakes and a couple
of other scenarios.
I usually sit back and let all you guys test this stuff and dream about
it, because I can't afford it. When something like this happens I am
glad that, sometimes, I can't afford it.
It also sounds like he is having a bit of a problem with the fuel
injection on Thoms coach. Seems to be under sized for the GM.
He still is planning on coming to Albuquerque. This is a good thing. He
is bringing eight sets of windshields and best of all he is bringing my
parts. Gotta like that. It looks like I am now going to have to come
through with all the beer I have promised him. Albuquerque is a good
place to get some really good Tequila. Maybe that may be better.
I bet some of you are getting better at typing, ALBUQUERQUE, now. The
keys just seem to be in the wrong place to do it fast.
Got my aluminum overhead cabinet back. OOOOOOhhhh. AAAAAhhhh.
I will have pics up this week. Still need to get it powder coated, but I
will post the aluminum skeleton any ways.
I have some parts I don't know what to do with so I am going to post
them and any one who wants any of it let me know and I will bring them
to Albuquerque. No charge but I don't want to ship them. UPS doesn't
need the money for used parts.
..1Q-Jet carburetor with 17,000 miles on it
..2 flex steel seats without bases Very nice blue upholstery
but the plastic backs need to be reattached or replaced
with a cloth back.
..windshield curved drapery track
..rear view mirror
..visors
..grill
let me know before sept. 26th.
I should have at least one of each of my aluminum and stainless parts
with me so I will be able to impress the bunch of you. Well, we'll see.
