Pam,
This is my first reply to a mailing list, so bear with me. My wife and
I bought a 1976 GMC motorhome in April, and we too, had no jack. I saw
the picture of the jack in the service manual and ordered an 8-ton,
heavy-duty, long ram , hydraulic jack from Harbor Freight Tools:
Item# 36469-OCSB $59.99 (free shipping).

I added a clevis ring to the top of the jack to attach the chain. I
think this duplicates the original and stores neatly under the dinette
seat behind the passenger captain's chair.
