i am replacing the driver side knuckle on my motorhome and no matter what I
tried could not remove the lower ball joint. Finally broke down and ordered
the correct tool from kent Moore tools at a cost of (gulp) $85.43.

when it just arrived noticed that it was in a OTC plastic box with a OTC
number 7503 on it.
Called Fred Keppers at JSC Corp, the place we got the OTC-927 pullers from,
1-800-344-9777. Fred has them for $59. HURT.

so if you need this tool call him.

In fact found out that OTC makes the Kent Moore tools. If there is any you
need call him

Thom:

Several years ago when I replaced my front wheel bearings, as I was
advised, all I had to do was rap a few times with a ball pein hammer, the
knuckle arm eye that the shaft of the ball joint fits into. Alternated with
a few raps on the top of the nut, which was moved flush with the top of the
threaded shaft. As I recall, it popped right out.

Just curious if you tried that method.

paul you name it I tried it. over the last 30+ years I have replaced many
ball joints including the toronado. this devil is tough. I beat it to death
and it never moved. This tool makes it very easy to remove ball joints tie
rod ends etc. Even at $85 it is probably worth it. Stil would have rather
paid $59.
