Is the 3/4 inch heater hose to the dash heater from the engine? And the 5/8 inch hose bach to the cooling system.

The vacuum controlled 5/8 heater water valve is directional that's in the 5/8 inch return hose. Am I correct? Bob Dunahugh 78 Royale

The 5/8" hose is the supply, from the rear intake port. The 3/4" hose
returns water from the heater to the water pump. The heater control valve
is in the 5/8" supply hose.
