I hope I don't offend any insurance folks here, but my insurance guy was
clueless when he came out to photograph and inspect my GMC. I opted for
coverage on my GMC through State Farm. I got quotes from RVAA and State
Farm who carries all of my other insurance and the difference was BIG. RVAA
wanted $460 annually and State Farm $290 for comparable coverage. State
Farm has been wonderful to deal with when I have had losses in the past and
I don't expect that to change. All of this is besides my point.

When I showed up at the storage yard where I keep my GMC, I saw her down in
the back and thought to myself, maybe the cold weather (46 right now) caused
the valve to leak down sooner than usual. But as I got closer, I saw the
right "T" panel was destroyed. I let my insurance guy take his photos, and
he asked me if that (squatting) was normal. Without missing a beat, I said
"sure". He never noticed the fragments of the "T" panel all over the
parking lot. Seems like my right air bag had one of those explosive cases
of diarrhea. The PO had the coach for 10 years and never changed an airbag.
There were 2 used bags in the storage pod from the PPO. Both have no leaks.
I will be using one of those until I can get 2 new bags.

Anyone bought air bags lately? How about "T" panels? Who has the best
price?

This surprises me but perhaps N.O. is a high risk pool for RVAA.

Watch out for air bags that live in roof pods. I think it gets to hot up
top. I keep my spare inside the motorhome.

Remember that RVAA offers full replacement insurance at the level agreed to....
State farm and others will give you fair market value and that could be a real
loss to many.

Just a word about towing. We have State Farm on everything. When we
went thru our less than happy experience in Florida (no, I don't want to
get that started again) we ended up with close to $900.00 in towing charges.
First to get off the road into a truck stop, and second down to Orlando.
State Farm paid every penny, without the first objection. At that time,
the towing portion of the policy was $6.00 and now is $8.00.
