I looked at 1977 GMC today. I would like have it looked it over before I buy it. Are any good GMC mechanics in the north Austin, Texas and what the
cost for a couple of your hours? Please email at mailto:txlawyer

in the moring. Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's a garage listed on the Black List that a couple of GMCers have
used.

For a follow up visited the seller (nice guy) and he told me the ceiling had lad a leak and the boards for the insulation board is lose and drooping
(but the spay foam is still OK) and the headliner is gone. Some of the wall board material is damaged. The long bed by the stove area is there but
the back is replaced with an aftermarket one that would not hold the hanging bed so no one can sleep on it. I told him I would and would pay the
inspection and I would agree to pay all inside repairs and agree to accept and pay all body work and need the bed or pay for a replacement one. Then
if there are mechanical need to be fixed including the needed repairs he missed in his ad, that he would need to pay 100% of the repairs itemized with
the inspection or I would offset the cost the price.
The body had been patched a few times and it is not glaring but it is really easy to see.
He was not interested.
If you have a project you need, this can be yours:

I spoke with this fellow a while back. I determined that he was asking
near double its worth at that time. It shows well in the photos since he
was careful to leave out the damning photos. I do easily see the poor
repair on the right front however.

Did you speak with Don Virta about looking at it with you?

Thanks for the report.
