Inner CV joint problem

Hello GMC'ers:

Well I really screwed up today. While re-packing the inner joint on one of
my axles, I inadvertantly broke one of the needle bearing rollers in two
pieces while putting one of the balls onto the spider. I thought the
resistance I was encountering was the excess grease being forced out;
however, one needle was not seated and got wedged on the raised lip. When I
pushed a little too hard it snapped.

My question now is: what should I do? Is there such a thing as a
replacement needle?
Can I polish the broken ends and use the two separate pieces? Or do I look
for a new
joint? Will appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,
