My problem did turn out to be the heater element.

I do believe that someone (probably me when I was viewing the coach at th=
e
RV lot) turned the heater on when the water tank was empty.

New element from the local plumbing supply and ..................what do
you know hot water.

Hot water via circulation from the motor is not presently an option for m=
e
since at some time in the past that option was disconnected.

Thanks for the help

Hook it back up. It is a great feature to be able to hit a campground and
jump right in for a hot shower. It also gives the engine a little better
cooling situation.

A Suggestion for those of us who might turn on the hot water electric
element with no water in the tank. I put in a 120v light, located just
above the stove on the wall next to it which I connected to the same
terminals that connect to the hot water element. If the electric is on,
the light is lit. It tells me that I have turned on the hot water. If I
remember that I do not have any water, it is a warning to shut it off.
Saves me the element.

hope you might try that to keep from happenning again.
