"I checked the Holley and found it to be a 4165 List 0-6497 which is the
direct street replacement for the 455 (non Tornado) Mechanical
secondaries, spread bore, double pump, 650 cfm, emmisions carb, integral
choke. I have the Holley book so I can identify anyones carb if they so
desire.

Is the carb with it's 650 cfm okay for the coach? What cfm was the
original?"

While a 650 cfm carb would not be a bad size for the 455 I would never
use a double pumper with mechanical secondaries on a motorhome.

The vacumn secondaries are a much better choice on a heavy vehicle
like the GMC.

I doubt if I would use a double pumper on anything over about 4000 lbs
and only then with a large engine.

The carb Darren is talking about is a spread bore vacumn secondary
replacement carb for the quadrajet.

Why dont you like the double pumper with mechanical secondaries? Not that I
know what they are, mind you.

Ron and (it is okay to tell) Julie
