Emery:
My comments were directed to Gene who asked what master cylinder to use
with 80mm front calipers and TSM rears.
I dont have a problem with my braking system. I HAD a problem with the
adjustment of the Cadillac rear pads. The pads are adjusted by the
ratcheting action of the emergency brake levers. When they are adjusted
properly they take LESS volume than drum brakes because the pads ride on
the surface of the rotors, dont move as far and dont require as much
volume to actuate them. I went back to the original master cylinder
because it has a 1 inch diameter piston and can apply more pressure to
the caliper pistons.
In talking to Bob Lamy, he says that the sensitized booster does not
apply more pressure to the master cylinder. (the diaphram diameter
doesnt change) The modification only makes it easier to operate.
By the way, did you change your combination valve to match your P30
master cylinder?
