there is an adjustment behind the dashboard for the heater its clear plastic and the cable runs through it . to get heat do i turn the adjuster together or away from the center?
im not getting heat and the lever is kind of hard to move.

I'm no expert, but first make sure your heater core itself is heating up
before twisting those heater control cables around.

You shouldn't be able to keep your hand on the heater hose that connects to
the heater core.

You could have a bad heater flow control valve, its vacuum operated, or... a
bad thermostat in the engine.
