I just replaced this relay; it was cutting out intermittently. In case
anyone is interested, here's the part number for a replacement: Napa Echlin
relay #AR109 ($15.49) There may be a Delco available, too. I don't know.
While I was at it I eliminated the time-delay relay that was inserted
between the blower relay and the blower on '77-'78's, and I also cleaned the
contacts on the resistor assembly. This made a MAJOR improvement in the
amount of air coming out of my heater/AC vents. "Low" now moves as much air
as "med-low" used to, "med-low" is equal to the old "medium", etc. The old
relays, together with some dirty connectors, were really degrading the
performance of the blower.
