Zak,
we still have the original headlamp configuration. I was looking at moving to newer rectangular lights in order to improve
the cut-off characteristics of the headlights, and get a better illuminating beam.
Then I discovered that Cibie makes a lamp assembly for the H series bulbs. It has a good cut-off pattern and would allow me
to improve (I think) the headlights. I expect that total parts cost will be in the $250 range, and allow me to go back to
stock if the experiement doesn't work out. The standard H4 bulb is a 65/55 watt unit. Overwattage at 100/80 and 130/100 is
also available.
Regardless, I believe that I will go to a relay setup for the headlights.
