Hawk Fire Suppression Systems

I am looking for a replacement cylinder for the Hawk Fire System installed
in the engine compartment of my coach. It is a 1lb. cannister Model A-10.
I don't have any documentation or address. Anyone have the same system with
re-ordering information? Thanks in advance.

The Hawk uses Halon - so I understand that the company stopped
manufacturing them.

Bob,

Don't give up before getting out the yellow pages. Look under "fire
extinguishers" for a company that services Halon systems. Worth a shot and
the worst they can do is say "no".

Don't pull it yet. Check out http://h3r.com

These people buy, sell and recycle Halon. Give them a call. They
might be able to help you out.

Just like R-12 for air conditioning it is not legal to produce Halon
in the US since 1994 but you can still sell it from old stocks or
recycle it.

It is still used in aircraft and in some computer rooms.

If you really want to take out the system let me know and I may be
interested in buying it.

You might wait, Aviation suppliers still can deliver Halon systems. The
one you have is in demand, and if you don't want it, others prob. will

Bob,

It may be that this bottle is refillable. Halotron I is the leading
replacement for Halon.
Check local AirCo or similar gasseous products outlet or fire protection
systems in the yellow pages.
