I'm not sure that the subject line is the exact original one but this
post has to do with messages about a hard starting engine after the
coach sits overnight.

There was a good article on tuning Quadrajets in the July, 2000 Hot Rod
Magazine. One paragraph touched on a possible explanation:

"Gasoline that leaks past one or all of the several plugs found on the
underside of the main body casting can foul the spark plugs on a regular
basis. These plugs seal "manufacturing" holes and tend to shrink with
time; fuel seepage into the engine can drain the bowl and cause hard
starting and gas puddling in the manifold. JET (the company referenced
in the article) seals them shut with a dab of two-part epoxy."
