Help! The rubber grommet that attaches the pipe from the filter vent on
the driver's side valve cover is shot. Figure one PCV System 6t-2
Emission Control systems in X-7525A shows a straight pipe with a 90
degree grommet. My pipe is bent and the grommet is straight. Went to
Auto Zone, Pep Boys, NAPA and Checker. No one had the straight
grommet. I also picked up a replacement door switch at NAPA only to
remove the old one and find no wires attached. The simple solution is
to remove the bulb, but who wants to be simple. Do I remove the padded
panel on the side of the dinnette?

There is another alternative. At many auto parts stores, there is a line of
products under the HELP brand (packaging is blister type packs having a
predominetly red color packaging back) that you find on a peg board type
display. They have many types of automotive replacement fasterners and
other devices, among which are many PVC type component gromments.
