Grill plastic type?

I was wondering if any of you GMC historians out there know what type of plastic was used in molding the original grills for our coaches?

I have a few cracks in mine, but being a kayaker I also have the ability to weld plastics (provided I know which I am dealing with so I can choose the correct plastic rod).

I'm in a similar situation - I want to repair mine as well - I'll be interested to see the replies.

Ken,

The grills are ABS. If you want to patch cracks, go to a home improvement box and get a can of ABS Black plumbing cement. Do not get any "universal" or anything else. That will fix grills and head light doors better than anything else (a lot) that I tried. '

I used West System Six10 to repair my grill. It hardens enough to sand.

Thanks, I was pretty sure it was ABS. Thankfully I have ABS rods in the workshop for the plastic welding set up.
