Actual performance vs. the specs.

Thanks,

It seems strange , maybe your dana got to him too late ?? I seem to
remeber a post saying he was going to be gone for a month or so to rallys ???

I had John rebuild my Dana about a month ago. He was just leaving on an
extended trip, more than a month as I remember, perhaps 2 months. I
mailed a check to him more than a month ago and it has not been cashed.
He did an excellent job. Jerry

Mike. I recently converted to the Thomas 315 from the original 2
cylinder Dana on my 76 26'. The Dana had been rebuilt less than 1 year
earlier. On my own test with a leakless system and new air bags, I
totally deflated the air system to 0 psi. The Dana pumped up the system
to ride height in 9 minutes 25 seconds. The thomas 315 using the same
test was less than 5 minutes. Pretty good improvement in my books. I
can't comment on the 317 though. Darren

Has anyone posted the results of the Thomas conversion?
Actual performance vs. the specs.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

Cinnabar now lists the Thomas 317 as the official replacement for the Dana and
has assigned it "GMC
Motorhome Part Number 317." Price is $200 from them.

Some Thomas specs are compared with the Dana in an article in the September
issue of
GMC Motorhome News. Flow rate at 100psi is 0.56cfm for the Thomas vs. 0.35cfm
for the Dana.
