Chris - The nuts that I use for this application are stainless acorn
nuts in 5/16" thread and 24 threads per inch. One source for them is
South Coast Stainless, 296 B London Bridge Road, Lake Havasu City, AZ
86403. Current price is $1.05 each,
with polishing available for an additional .75 each. You might ask them
about supplying the appropriate AN washers in stainless, also. Their
phone is 520-680-1151.
They take MC and Visa and ship the same day you order. Excellent
service, very knowledgeable and all fasteners are in labeled bags, they
will sell you any quantity you want. Ask them to send their catalog with
your order, they have many neat items that are hard to find elsewhere.
They assemble complete engine and body fastener kits for popular cars
and motorcycles (no kit listed for our GMCs).
