Andy:

Tom did specify some steps, but the pit was not on the foundation plans (was
a last minute addition). The foreman was not around (as usual!) and we
discovered none of the concrete workers spoke English. They all smiled and
said si, but steps never happened!

We will be living in the county, where, other than for the septic system,
there are no inspections or construction rules! Actually that's a bit
scary, isn't it?

Ted:

If you mean the size of the pit, I was going to say the size of a grave...
but Tom didn't think that was very funny! ...0_0
It's 4' deep, 3' wide, 8' long. To have access, it means working only on
the ends of the coach, but that's where most of the problems are anyway (?)

If the question is about the garage, it is 36X42 total: 12X36 designated
for the workshop, 18X34 for the RV (the higher middle section), and 12X36
for a future horse stall/tack room.

Julie got home from school where she teaches today. A woman was standing at the
end of our driveway (130' from the house. She asked her to "remove the junk
from the side of your house, it makes the neighborhood look messy." I certainly
hope that she meant the removed trim, headliner, cabinets and scrap carpeting
and not our GMC!
She was right if she was talking about the junk. If she was speaking about the
GMC, I will have to stop by her house with a zoning book in my hand.

Ron,
You missed a perfect opportunity to let her help by carrying off your old
trim and headliner. It is so nice to have volunteers. Good luck!

I did think about asking her to do something with our driveshaft but then I
remembered that the GMC didnt have one.
