dave the coach was surely made by Elegant coach as the very beautiful brass
plaque was still mounted in the interior of the coach just above the monitor
panel. It may have been made for some kind of an office since it had many
different kinds of lights both interior and exterior. Next time I go up
will take pictures of it and get them to you.

As to the second coach it sure looked like a palm beach, same color as mine
and palm beach colors in the interior wiht gauncho bed opposite the entrance
door.

>Tom, thanks for the following info.
>
>The coach you descibed sounds like several made by Leasure & Recreational
>Products , Inc of Lake Geneva, WI. Their coaches sported lots of leather
>and a substantial entertainment center. I have photos of three of them
>and there were no exterior adornments as you described.
>
>I'm not familiar with Elegant Coach of Bloomington, Minn. Perhaps a
>GMCnetter in that area can check to see if they are still in business.
>For now I will Register it as an Elegant coach. The VIN numbers just
>before and after (60 & 62) are both Royales done by Coachman Industries.
>
>As to the other coach I have it in the Registry but it is a Glacier not a
>Palm Beach. Palm Beaches were made starting in 1975 as far as I know. I
>bought one of the first ones produced and I am pretty sure (and according
>to our meager records) they weren't made prior to 1975.
>
>Thanks again. These little mysteries are fun. I am still looking for info
>on a 5 axle GMC that is for sale on the west coast. It was made by a
>Canadian named Marcel something and I've lost his Florida phone number
>(just in case some one is listening?)
>
>By cc to Bill Bryant...what do you know about Elegant??

>>David know that you have many GMC coach numbers. I saw a different
>>coach
>>again today during a trip back to the same area, at a car dealers for
>>sale.
>>I previously described it on GMC net but no no knew what it was. I
>>stopped
>>and got some information off the coach.
>>
>>made by Elegant Coach of Minnesota, 9010 Pillsbury Ave, Bloominton
>>Minnesota. TZE368V100061. Off white in color with red stipes, tan
>>leather
>>interior, only toilet, no shower(although appears to be a normal
>>module),
>>403 engine, double benches in the front facing each other, electro
>>level
>>system. leather ceiling headliner. Lots of lights inside with large
>>panel
>>controlling them to the left of entry door. Entertainment center etc,
>>hot
>>plate across from the door with what looks like a wet bar. Outside to
>>left
>>of entrance door has raised wings (maybe brass about 24" across ) with
>>what
>>looks like a red ball in the center.
>>
>>Ever hear of anything like this. Present owner is Frank Mace. former
>>GMC
>>dealer of Canton NY. He also has for sale a Palmbeach TZE063V102153.
>>

>>>I also installed Bridgestone R265 tires along with the new Alcoas in
>>>July, 1994 and now have 39,219 miles on them. I have never rotated
>>them
>>>and the only front end work was when Alex Sirum aligned the wheels
>>with
>>>his sticks and string technique.
>>>
>>>They still ride great, look like I'll get another 15-20k miles out of
>>>them and all I do is add a little air every month or so. I wouldn't
>>>hesitate to mount Bridgestones again.
