Subject: GMC: Broken right rear window

My coach was in the repair shop parking lot and some *&%@#$%# *&%^%&
broke the right rear window and got in, threw stuff around but didn't
take ANYTHING that I know of yet! They even left my nice toolkit on the
table... I guess that they're just stupid, however, that goes without
saying.

Anyway, does anyone have any ideas about ordering a replacement? It's
the right rear(stationary) window. The one that slides open is OK.

John I have 1 small undrilled stationery window for the rear of a 73. I think they are the same as the 76. I also have a large set of 1 slider and one fixed for a 73 if anyone is interested.

Gary I have vinyl mini blinds in our 78 kingsley. They are great you can
control the sun light and still have the view. Then they close up at night
for privacy. The vinyl is very quiet as aposed to the aluminum ones. They
are by a company call Kirsch. If you have a hard time finding them and have
an interest let me know and I can order them for you or give you the company
phone number.

GM changed the window design in 1975. It is my understanding that the glass is not interchangable. The frames are substantially different. '73 opens front half to the rear and latches on the outer
edge. '76 opens rear half to the front and latches to the center mutton bar. Just thought I'd save some unnecessary shipping.

Tim:

Steve is right about the '76 opening from rear to front. My broken
window is the front section which is non-movable. The measurements of
the window are 17 1/4" x 33 1/4" with 4" radius on 2 corners, the other
2 corners are square. Please see if the measurements are close.
