The number you list is the original recommendation found in the shop
manual.

Second, I'm looking for a recomendation for spark plugs for my 1978
Kingsley stock 403 engine. The present plugs date to the previous owner
and may or may not be the best choice; they are AC R 46 SZ. I am more
concerned with gas mileage than with hot rodding. mick
