Hi Gang,
Just wanted to report that our Tulsa luncheon was a rousing success and then
some. There were eight of us, along with out GMC's, who met Friday afternoon
for lunch at the Golden Corral in Tulsa. We parked the coaches all in a row
and did they ever draw attention!!! We sat inside by a huge picture window
and watched the people "circle the wagons" just like the old days of Cowboys
and Indians...
Present were Ron and Sharon Eiman, Andy and Jondine Flynn, Glyn and Melrose
Trimble, Gary and Dorothy Van Fossen, Leonard and Jane Howard, Ken and
Sharon Baldridge, Bill and Bobbie Bramlett and Olin Boyer.
Most are members of the GMC Classics, all are members of FMC/GMC
International...Gary, Olin and myself are also on the net...
The food was excellent, the conversation was animated, lively, and everybody
was talking at once...fun, fun, fun.
We were just about set to make a round robin tour of all the coaches, not
only to take pictures of who done what but how they did it when a real
norther blew in, wind, rain and hail.
We just sat there and watched 70 mpg winds and rain, along with some hail,
and hoped the coaches did not leak.
(Olin did have some rain come through his sunroof). Needless to say, we
broke up at the first rainbreak, and everybody dashed out to their "babies"
and ran for home.
We all agreed to get back together very soon to finish our "tour" and then
make plans for a regular luncheon and get to gether. By the way, our level
of expertise among the group ranged from the "do everything yourself" to the
opposite.
Not only were the group diversified in skills but also in time of
ownership..from 1973 to 1999.
Till next time (and we hope you will join us).
Glyn
