Hi Steve

I had a Kerker muffler on a 750 Honda several years ago and just got rid of
my lil hotrod LUV pickup that had dual SuperTrapps on it. I really liked
the way they sounded and liked the ability to tune my exhaust system. I
had never thought about one for the coach, but I am now.

Thanks for the idea.

As a new owner I read all of the GMC digests since becoming a member of
the list. I have picked up much appreciated valuable info which I have
archived and stored on disk for future reference. I have appreciated the
different viewpoints expressed about headers versus stock manifolds. I
recently replaced my exhaust manifolds with the good old cast iron
replacements but, I used the Mr. Gasket copper gaskets to improve heat
conduction to the motor. I hope this will help only time will tell. My
coach has a unique muffler system. I have a straight pipe to the bumper.
On the end of the pipe is a stainless steel muffler much like a
motorcyle muffler that is 19" long and 5" in diameter. The unit is
called a Supertrapp and has baffles that are spark arrestor approved.

The muffler is very quit and seems to limit the coach exhaust noise. Has
anyone had any experience with this type of muffler? I am curious about
potential for back pressure although it doesn't appear to limit the
engine
performance based on my experience whil driving it.

Interested in hearing any experiences or technical viewpoints.
