To Travis and others --

I agree with the wise comments that have been made by way of explaining
the different ways we express ourselves. People tend often to either be
right or left brain dominant, which means that a left brain thinking
person tends to be factual, more exacting, and less emotional in their
thinking, and expression. A right brained person often is more
creative,and feeling in expression.
Another factor,is our particular educational background, teaches us to
view the world though a particular color of lens so to speak. An
anthropologist views a problem through his background of training;an
engineer through a different grid lens and so on. At the risk of being
personal, from time to time there is question as to some statements made
by a certain engineer ( not on this Net), but lets keep in mind that by
both natural brain dominance of thought and by training, that person
will talk, think and write in a particular way. I guess when I drive
across a bridge I'm glad the mechanical engineers were exact in their
thinking, and dogmatic in insisting on doing it only a certain way. But
at the same time, without the color of the artists, and the touchy feely
stuff from those who are good emoters, the world would be kinda dull.
What I keep thinking about and try to keep working at-- as we all get
older-how does one stay young in ones thinking, open minded to new ideas,
and keep growing and adapting to a rapidly changing world. We all need
each other to keep reminding and prodding ourselves toward this path.
P.S. the grid that I was trained to view the world through was in the
counseling field- far removed from GMC's.
