GMC Air Cleaner/Floor Clearance

I had the same thing on my '77 Royale with a 403. The air cleaner was hitting
hatch cover at the 5 o'clock position. No big deal; just took a grinder to it
and gave it a little clearance.

I think my PO must have put in a regular 455 in mine.
Have to have a rise in the hatch cover.
Also the aircleaner has two 'wings' on each side.

And here I thought some PO had put that metal plate on the floor cover. When
we first got the 77 Royale 3 years ago, I'd assumed a change had been made
to the Carb/aircleaner requiring a cutout to the floor cover. It looks like
it was shoddy work by a handyman.
