My 77 Pam Beach has a interesting issue... The gauges fuse blows just about every 3 days. Anyone have any thoughts on where to begin, if anyone else
may have had this issue. Also, is the ac compressor on this circuit too? That is free on bth the pulley and the clutch, yet jumping the pressure
switch wont turn it on..

Readjust the fuse blow timer to however long you want it to go.

Does the fuse blow on overload or short? For overload, the fusible link will be melted, usually with a break at the melt point. For a short the
fusible link will vaporize and coat the fuse glass with black and metal tigbits.

It usually blows when I turn the key to start... and not all the time... usually every couple days. Change it, and it's fine again for a few more
days..

Cool. In what way does it blow? i.e. are we looking for a faulty gauge power thingie or a shorted wire. Knowing how the fuse blows might indicate a
direction to look.

Are you sure you are using a fuse of the correct rating?

Looking at the wiring diagram for the 77/78 chassis, it shows the 10Amp Gauges fuse also operates the transmission kick-down relay.

Check the kick-down switch which is above the accelerator. Maybe the connector is randomly shorting to ground. In any case, pull the connector off the
kick-down switch and tie it where it wont short on anything. Best practices is to pull the transmission down a gear rather than using the electric
kick-down relay in the transmission.

My Staff says I never listen to them, or something like that

Or maybe the wire going down beside the transmission on the pass side got into the exhaust manifold or something?

I was thinking about telling him to get some 30 day fuses.
