Do you have an Ace Hardware nearby?

I had been looking for the orange leak detector in Home Depot, too, without
success, so last time I was in Ace Hardware I purchased a 2 oz. spray bottle of
"Ace All Purpose Gas Leak Detector." It's a blue liquid, not very thick, sort of
like a soap solution. I haven't tried it yet but when I do I will let you know
how it works .

I purchase liquid leak detector from a plumbing supply house. It comes
with a dauber (like liquid shoe polish) I've had great success with it..

I just had to buy some 'on the road' and lucked out at a local (SAC) RV
store.

It's made by CAMCO, called "Gas Leak Detector" and the part# I think
is10325.

It's pink in color, runny like water so runs into all nooks and crannys and
bubbles up on the tiniest leak.

It's available with a spray head or dauber in the bottle. I prefer the
dauber.

Cost was $3.30 for 8 oz, i.e. a lifetime supply ( unless you forget it at
home .
