Fuel Tank Connections Main Tank Drivers Side

I have the tanks out and I will coat them on the outside because the inside looks nice and clean and I am trying to be sure all the tank connections
are properly connected.

I have the vents and the two connections from the fuel gauge sending unit. I have the filler connections and the generator supply on the main tank BUT
on the main tank low on the drivers side is an outlet that has been capped off on my tank. I shows on page 8-5 of the maintenance manual but does not
show what it is supposed to connect to.

I can leave it capped off and it is readily accessible so if I need it later I can get to it but it would be easier to connect it now while I am doing
the tanks. My only thought is that it may have been a return line and I guess I could always use it for that if I go the fuel injection route but I
am not that far into this project and I would prefer to plumb it properly now.

Thanks

Don't feel bad, all of the 73s have that and nobody knows what it was supposed to be.

And don’t coat the insides of the tanks unless they are super rusty
