It's not uncommon for US suppliers to ignore us. The dollar rules,
and we are a small percentage of the bottom line. BUT we must
exercise caution about a generalization! I know where you're
coming from! Yes, set up a location on the US side for a
"Shipping" address. Take a trip down every once in a while to pick
up the goodies! Christmas comes many times a year that way!
Gosh, don't forget to claim purchases at the smallest border
crossing you can find when you cross at 3:30 am looking like
you've been driving for 18 days straight
Now for the good news.........
KYB's are available at Bow-Wow Parts (VW) in Delta for less than
you can get them in the south. I ordered G-159's out of Halifax for
about 60% less than any US price I've seen - before exchange.
The point is....it is time consuming to track this stuff down but it is
often available. When you have to deal with a US supplier, try to
find those who have gone there before......which is why this mail-
list is so important to everyone.
After the attitude displayed by Jim Bounds (Co-op) on a recent
order, I will not shop elsewhere, unless he can't supply and he
says it's ok! If you need more specific info, e-mail me at my
address......I am having some tech problems since I changed the
motherboard on this box...but I will get back to you !
Mike Beaton........' 77 Kingsley
Nova Scotia......and still not a sign of snow !
