fresh water tank

whats the best way to clean the fresh water tank? my tank has brown stuff on the insides. some of the stuff came off by a car wash pressure washer but it did not reach all of it.

I used the old Bicycle water bottle cleaning trick. I put about 2 dozen
granite rocks and some water in it and shook it up. Worked great.
