I really want to go to FC but, I can't even pay the $260 to get everything
cause I don't have a GMC, so no membership. Have to find outside lodging
and food and getting into the site will cost me $15 a day or $105 for a
week. Seems they, GMCMI, are cutting themselves out of some money on this
deal. Someone else will get it instead. How about Honorary Memberships for
wanna be's? Would still pay the same dues just to get the information and
be able to join in and look for a GMC while there. I can't even suggest a
rule change, cause I'm not a member. Catch 22. Yep!!!!

Roger

Like most clubs and organization there are unusually a prerequisites for
membership. For local GMC clubs and GMC International you have to own a
GMC Motorhome to qualify. GMC International Conventions are not open to
SOB's (Some other Brands). GMC International "Honorary Membership" for
Wanna Be's and Lurkers cost $15.00 dollars a day to enter the grounds,
attend seminars and look at the assembled GMC Motorhomes. We belong to
the GMC GreatLaker Motorhome Club which is the Oldest and Largest
Chapter in the US. The GMC'ers we have met this past year are the most
friendly and helpful Motorhome owners we have ever met. The sharing of
information and helping each other when in trouble on the road is second
to none. I will get off my soap box now.

Do you have any friends who are members and would take
you as a guest?

Yep! Already have had an offer hard to refuse. I'm just hard headed and
tend to do it my way. Rather change the rules than break them. Some day
this will all be a moot point for me, but there will be others in the same
position. Guess I'll start going to the meets when invited. {:>) That is
till I get my Lady, and then I'll join in officially.

Jim:

Maybe you can join up with us on the way to Forrest City. So far, I have
six coaches lined up to convoy together, and not all from the same point of
departure. We have a rendezvous point in NW Indiana, at 2 PM EDT, Sep 24th.

Come join up with us.

If any others are also interested in joining up with us, let me know.

Paul,

We opted for a Caspro engine, I hope to get it and the other stuff
installed and drive it to Forest City. Wish us luck!!

Geez, everyone must be in FC since the net is DEAD! Haven't heard from Jim
if he made it OK. Hope so... this waiting is killin' me!

Jim is here (IOWA) bragging about how well the trip went - once he got
going.

Ain't it the truth! That was my first posting after my first rally
