I had an interesting conversation with Juanita at Flowmaster Exhaust and
I
thought many of you might be interested. If enough of us would be
seriously
in the market for a full exhaust system, while still utilizing the
original
manifolds they would make up a complete kit.
This would be: 2.5 engine pipes,2.5 Flowmaster mufflers going into 3"
Ypipe
to 3" tailpipe. They would R&D the system and we probably would gain a
few
hps over stock. System would be Mandral bent and use their latest street

mufflers. If you write your thoughts in the Digest or E-Mail me I'll
follow
up with Flowmaster Re price etc. We do need a significant number for a
go.

Why run a Y pipe and single exaust after all of this? Why not run the
duals all the way? It sounds self defeating.

The R&D is the trick! One wants little back pressure from a calculation of volume & velocity at a given frequency which is usually 36 degrees at 4500 RPM but always the proof is in the pudding. What are the final results after 100K miles? Drawing board stuff of the best produces an Edsel sometimes.
