After an unseasonably cold, windy and snow bound Xmas and New Years, (normals above 32°F usually 36°- 42°F, hardly ever snows) I finally got out to check on the coach today. It's sitting outside and apart from several flat tires (!) all was well.
Onan fired right up, made a cup of coffee etc.
With the Arctic outflow, temperatures here reached 0°F with windchill. Very unusual, but can happen occasionally. Fortunately today things had warmed up, snow was mostly melted and temps were in the 45°F range. All six tires were low, but the three on the driver's side were almost totally flat. At first I attributed the loss of pressure to a set of valve extenders I fitted in early November, but I think it must have just been the cold - or perhaps a combination of the two?
I removed the extenders and re-inflated the tires, will check again in a few days to see what's what.
I took the coach out about a week prior to Xmas to fill the gas and propane tanks and the tire pressures seemed fine although I didn't put the gauge on them. Tires are just 9 months old btw.
