Probably the biggest chance of a fire in our GMC's would be an
electrical fire. Checking the tightness of the bolts and the bus bar
with the fuses is most likely to cause great pain if left unattended.
All you have to do is check the tightness. If that is done no more
problems. Not long ago there was a post about the heavy duty positive
cable running from the front solenoid to mid section and then on to the
rear solenoid. The warnings were to ensure these cables were wrapped in
the plastic sleeve cable savers. It makes good sense to check all the
wires that come from the main and auxiliary battery to ensure they are
not rubbing on anything that could damage the covering and thus
