My palm beach came with a fairly recent fire extinguisher with mount but it was just lying there on one of the seats. As I'm in the tidying up stage
of my mini-resto I'd like to mount it and was wondering where the forum thinks the best place would be both practically and for non bump head bang
into use?

By the door is popular. Along side the driver's seat is a good place also. Easy to find if you have a engine fire, Mr. Onan is another popular
location.
Frankly, get you and yours out of the coach. There are more GMC'S. John Richardson's Avion was a total loss in less than 5 minutes. He exhausted 2
fire extinguishers and a fire truck responding to another fire 1/2 miles away was unable to stop the fire. It burned to the beltline.

If you are really worried about fire in your GMC motorhome,
investigate Jim Bounds' website at gmccoop.com to reach his
automatic subsidiary fire extinguisher business.

Jim Bounds did a Fire safety presentation at one of the GMCMI rallys. He said that he thought the best place to mount a Fire extinguisher is at the
door. Mainly because when you go for it, you are one step away from being out of the coach which should be your and other occupants first concern. Get
out of there, then worry about the fire. Just what I remember.

I have 2. 1 left of driver’s seat, 1 in closet. We sleep in back so 1 extinguisher is between back room and exit door. Back window is last resort.
