Anyone know the part numbers for the bearings to rebuild the final drive? Seems like it is a secret as the info is not out there.

It is not a secret. Use common sense and see who is the largest supplier of rebuilt units.
That is how I have approached lot of the people and have become a major supplier if all GMC MH parts and kit.
Don't look at GMC suppliers as rapests, but a source of information.
I can tell from you question that you have not been inside the final drive yet.

AS simple as it is, it is not something many people know how to set it up
correctly.
Even if one replaces the origional gears ad shims, there are issues.
There is no demand for bearing # on these, as most cannot do an adequate
job. Those that can know the # . Your also going to need the correct seals
or get a sub # that does not work well.

Nothing personal guy, but you best examine your situation.

If you need to rebuild a final drive, then you should be looking for a gear set too. If you are going to be replacing gears and bearings, then you
better have the crate of shims to set them up correctly and be real ready to be elbows deep in Prussian Blue to set the gears contact.

The part numbers for the bearings and the shims are all in the parts books.

But again, if you have not done a rear end/final drive, be very cautious about what you get into.

G'day,

I have sent you the Final Drive section out of Parts Book 78Z.

I would suggest you go to Billy Massey's or the GMCMI Website and download Maintenance Manual X-7525 which provides the instructions
on how to R&R the bearings and the special tools required.
