Just got back from my pilgrimage to the annual Pyrotechnics Guild
International, Inc. (PGII) convention at Fargo, ND (this year). Went about
1000 miles total w/o a hitch on the coach itself. Love that new DigiPanel!
What a slick device. Only got an average of 8 mpg
Only issue I had was with the Onan. Out of the blue it started to miss
occasionally and got so bad it started to die... then catch itself then go
through the same scenario again till I finally shut it off. Changed the
plugs to AC 216 (crossed them and only had to goto three different parts
stores to finally find anything that word fit). No help at all. Seems the
hotter it gets the worse it gets. Checked the fuel filter and it appears
fine. Checked and cleaned the points and they too looked fine. Did not check
the output of the fuel pump but I will do that next. Oil was fine too after
about 12 hours of operation this all started up. Starting to think it's a
bad fuel pump, coil or condenser but will check out all the simple stuff
first. Wished I'd have gotten the pointless ignition now that I read the
manual says to change the points every 200 hours! Incase I need it does
anyone have the three Onan P/N's of the pointless ignition?
Funny thing as I was leaving Fargo this AM at 4:30 I saw a Cummings/Onan
dealer on the Southside of town.
