Hi all; Replaced the wall panels and moved all previous owner's added
wiring that I'm keeping behind the walls last weekend. I am getting ready
to do the headliner and something don't seem right with the so called
Fantastic Vent up front. Inside, the roof panel its mounted in bulges
downward around it. When I took the grill off, other than the hacked up
job on the roof metal, there were 2x4s framing the opening? Is this how
they are installed? It certainly looks wrong to me. Should the dimension
of the lumber be changed to match the space between the headliner and the
roof or is there some other installation method? I have not attempted to
undo this yet . I would appreciate any comments anyone might have on this.
Thanks, walter bright, 76 GB, Delanco, NJ. T-43 days and counting.

It sounds like a hacker got into your GMC before you bought it. There
isn't any wood in the ceiling as far as I know!
