Gene,
I might just do that. Apply the stuff with a roller. Thanks for the
tip.

Sounds good. Thanks for the input. BTW what adhesive would you
recommend? It should be high temperature because if I go to all
this trouble I want it to stick!

Richard; Here's annother technique to apply covering to a flat surface
without getting wrinkles:

1) Lay the covering material onto the paneling exactly where you want it to
stay.
2) Cover 2/3 of the covering with plywood and add some weight to hold it in
place.
3) Fold back the exposed 1/3 and apply adhesive to the underside of the
covering material and the paneling.
4) Carefully lay the covering material onto the panel, pulling gently
against the covered portion to keep the material flat.
5) Use a rolling pin to insure good bond.
6) Remove weights and plywood, and fold remaining 2/3 of covering back over
glued 1/3.
7) Apply adhesive to 1/2 of remaining covering and paneling.
8) Lay covering onto middle 1/3 of paneling, again pulling to keep material
flat, and roll to insure good bond.
9) Fold remaining 1/3 back over glued portion and apply adhesive.
10) Lay last 1/3 onto paneling and roll to insure good bond.
