Mike-
How about doing a survey of owners on Fan clutches- which brand is the
most satisfactory. From reading the stories, I get the impression that
the Hayden sometimes does not work properly even when new,but the flip
side to that is that apparently they are guaranteed for life-at least at
PEP Boys.
Personnaly I tend to favour the OEM one even though it might cost
slightly more. The original lasted 55,000 miles. When it quit it froze
up so I knew it wasn't working.Luckily I wasn't too far from Wes C's
place and so got another one next day. The second one has been on for
38,000 miles and still working well. So from at least my own experience
I like OEM fan clutches.
Claude in Victoria where the weather is perfect and where all the smart
tourists are right now. I was with a group of tourists from Brazil
yesterday, and downtown was crawling with people.
