Just came across this post (a little too late probably) and thought I'd add my $0.02 if you go with the Delco line of clutches. I had what I believe
to be a Delco 15-4644 on our coach from the PO. That fan would kick on often at 85 degrees and full time at 95 degrees on the highway. I too had
similar behavior to the post here. Eventually, after a trip where temps were between 85-95 almost the entire time (1200 miles), it completely failed
and locked up.

After reading the information from Ken Burton we replaced with a Delco 15-4947 which should be a direct match to the one he found in his research. I
think that clutch runs a lot more like it should. No more excessive roaring at highway speeds. When sitting hot and taking off I hear a slight roar
that settles down shortly after taking off.
