Time to confirm or kill a myth ina somewhat unscientific manner.

How many of your engines developed exhaust manifold leaks?
How many had cracked manifolds?
What Mileage?
What kind of driving?

For those who went to headers, do they eliminate the problem of leaks?
What kind of gaskets if any did you use when isntyalling headers?

E-mail me privately and I'll post the results.

Henry,
I have headers (non ceramic coated) and have had leaks since I owned it. I
hoped they would have gotten sealed up during the motor change out but alas
no. I will redo them myself w/solid copper Mr. Gaskets (P/N 7170 $49.95).
Then I'll redo the exhaust later too. We'll see how this goes. I'll let
everyone know...

John,
Now ya tell me...! Mine just arrived today and I had to prepay cause they
wouldn't order them in advance if I didn't. Oh well... live and learn. Geez,
I should be about 12 years old if that were the case 8-).
