There was a posting recently asking about alternate hatch covers, and in
response I suggested calling Chuck Aulgur, however he has informed me
that he has sold out completely and has no more material for making
further ones. So there is no point in trying to call him for supplying.
Sorry for the bum steer.

I guess that's why he didn't return my call :-)

On to plan B, patching/modifying the original. Guess modify/patch would be
the correct sequence.

Thanks for the update Claude.

Any other hatch cover makers out there ?

Heinz

In regards to alternate hatch covers. If any one is interested I have the
capability and, more importantly, the desire to manufacture these covers
for custom applications. My idea is to make them out of insulated
aluminum. I am making a new cover for mine for when I change out my intake
manifold and carburetor. If there is an interest for this in any kind of
volume, ( more than 2 ), I would gladly tackle this.
I am also in the final stages of my dash reconstruction and am
seriously considering offering these also. When I am done I will send
pictures to someone who has a web page to post the pics.
Steppin way out on a limb. Darren

Darren,
I'm interested in both the insulated aluminum hatch cover and the dash. Please
keep me posted on the progress --- and I would love to see pictures.
