By golly Jim, I wish I had used that description. That is exactly what
it feels like unless you are really standing on it.
I had a 3,000 rpm stall converter in one of my cars and under moderate
driving conditions you could not feel the shifts, just sort of a smooth
transition from gear to gear. However, when I stood on it............I
miss those days.
