Arch, Thanks for reminding me about mfg's spec on revolutions per mile. I
have a call in to my tire guy to ind out what it is on my 8.75 x 16.5
Dunlops so I can do the math.

You mentioned the modified shift points with shift kit you have. I'm about
to have my tranny serviced and while I'm at it, I need to have a new shift
solenoid installed (all down-shifts with selector, switch ok, no solenoid
"click") and want to firm up the shifting with an RV(?). That prompts a
couple more questions;

1) Your statement implies that when you lift off at less than 40, your
tranny stays in second. Question: When you're slowing down in drive, will
your tranny go back in to second by itself when your speed falls below 40,
or 35, or ...??

2) Can you tell me the Mfg. and part no. of the shift kit you're using?

TIA,

Dave (& Dege), '76 Royale, Santa Barbara, CA
