I can't find my parts cross reference book for part numbers. I was going
to go buy a new door paddle for the interior side of the entrance door.
Is this the one that is a Peterbuilt number? Could someone who has their
book handy please look it up for me and send me the proper part number?
Thanks very much people. Darren

Hi Darren

This is quoted from previous posts. Is the paddle part of the latch or separate?

>The door entrance latch assembly is Peterbilt truck P/N 20-08229-R (see your

Somewhere way back in the Archives is a long post I did on my unsuccessful
experience with using the Kenworth (or was it Peterbilt) door latch part
number listed in the GMCMI Parts Index . I don't remember the specifics now
but I do remember that the part number was wrong. I ended up having to
install a used latch to cure the latch problem at the time. I still haven't
figured out good way to search to Archives or I would copy that post here
again. Anyway, good luck to all.

Phil,

Yes, the Kenwoth cross # does work with a modification.

The KW latch is for an outside utility door so it does not have provisions
for an inside latch handle. You have to weld an additional bracket to
allow the inside handle to be attached.

I have the part # at the shop if you would like it, please call.
